Jal Mahal (Water Place)
Jal Mahal {Water Place}
Jalmahal is a famous historical palace situated between the Mansagar lake of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Situated in the womb of the Aravalli hills, this palace is also called 'Eye Ball' as it is in the middle of the lake. It was also known as 'Romantic Palace'. Built by Jaisingh, this palace is a double-edged and square building with medieval palaces like arches, strongholds, platforms and step-by-step jinn. Here the Raja of Jaipur used to spend quality time with his queens.

 Situated on the Jaipur-Amer road, this palace is situated in the middle of the Manasagar Lake, which was built by Sawai Jaisingh after a complete yagna to bathe his queens. This palace reflects the feeling of love.
Earlier there was a dame, which was used for farming in the surrounding villages. Most of the plants were planted here which were later sent abroad. It also has a bird house in which a variety of bird species are found.

In front of the lake you will see huge mountains, on top of which there are historical temples and forts, and on the other side of the lake you will see the pink city of Jaipur.

At that time there was also a special feast on behalf of the king here at night.
The night scene here is quite impressive.

Best time to visit:
August to December is considered to be the best time to visit here because the surrounding Aravalli mountains turn green in these days.
This greenery of the mountains will thrill your mind.
